TVAM shares Narcissus

TVAM Psychic Data narcissus

Sometimes, music refuses to be pinned down by words. Under the moniker of TVAM, Wigan’s Jon Oxley creates sounds that lurch from the caustic punk of Big Black to the hazy synth ambience Boards Of Canada. Self described as post-internet, motivational slime-punk, BBC6 Music’s Lauren Laverne labeled previous single These Are Not Your Memories as “Like someone took Spiritualized to the club!!”. With debut album, Psychic Data to be released October 19th, TVAM has this week shared latest track Narcissus.

Asking questions to our online personas, Narcissus questions the increasing untethering of social media representations from their physical creators, through bending Synthesizers and hypnotic beats. Both self-produced and home-recorded, the Psychic Data album was mixed by Dean Honer (Moonlandingz, I Monster, Add (N) To X)  with Oxley adding:

“It was great working with Dean. I’m a massive Add N To (X) fan and knew he’d get where I was coming from after hearing what he was doing with Moonlandingz.”

Available on limited edition 180g transparent orange vinyl, 180g black vinyl and 4 panel card digipack CD is available to pre order here.
