Still only seventeen years old, San Francisco born and Los Angeles raised Hana Vu has self produced her debut EP How Many Times Have You Driven By which will be released on Fat Possum imprint Luminelle Recordings June 29th.

Vu has shared the EP’s next single Shallow which Vu has described as “part social commentary, part self analysis” and follows previous singles Crying on the Subway and Cool. Inspired by voices like Stevie Nicks and Florence Welch but a self confessed Taylor Swift fan, Vu’s sound has picked up the title of ‘Bedroom Pop’. Even though she’s still in High School, Vu has been writing and recording for five years, releasing songs on platforms such as Soundcloud and Bandcamp, scored a feature with Willow Smith and opened for Soccer Mommy in L.A. Her Debut EP is entirely self written and produced and mastered by Clay Jones (Modest Mouse, Sunflower Bean) and can be pre ordered here.
