A band long revered on the London live circuit for their ferocious and intense live shows, Crows have announced they’ll be keeping good company by signing to Balley Records. The label of IDLES front man Joe Talbot, Balley is also home to Heavy Lungs, Lice and was the spring board for IDLES self-released debut Brutalism.
“I saw them play at the Louisiana in Bristol a few years ago and both the performance and the quality of their songs blew me away. Everything about them excites me; so when I heard they were looking to release an album, I had no choice but to chase them. It’s a dream to work with them.”Joe Talbot
With debut album Silver Tounges set for release March 22nd, Crows accompanied the announcement with new single Chain Of Being. A track that manages to capture the band’s live intensity, its heavy but contains some great melody. Like a shaken but not stirred brew of Ramones, Buzzcocks and The Cure.
Formed in 2015 Crows. have built a considerable following for the intensity of their live shows. A successful run of singles and EPs lead to the recording of Silver Tongues in near total darkness to build a sense of atmosphere.
With support slots for the likes of Girl Band and Wolf Alice under their belt, Crows will be taking to the road supporting IDLES on the UK leg of their 2019 tour.
