Charlene Soraia goes outdoors for one voice, one guitar, one take Tragic Youth video.

Following the release of her latest single Tragic Youth on Peacefrog Records, Charlene Soraia has released this stunning video performance of the track. Made in much the same manner as her music, this video is a one take film of Charlene playing Tragic Youth acoustically on her “old Raver” guitar. A 1973 Japanese Gibson 335 copy.

Tragic Youth comes in the wake of her stunning performance on the self produced, solo recorded single Where’s My Tribe? This latest release sees Charlene Soraia bolster her reputation as a truly exceptional songwriter. With a rich, almost Chanson vocal melody, Soraia’s gentle voice gradually builds emotion and tension. Rising over a guitar track which can only be described as virtuosic.

Signed to UK indie label Peacefrog (José González, Little Dragon), her cover of The Calling’s Wherever You Will Go for a TV advert, was an accidental smash. Hitting No.3 in the charts and over 60 million Spotify hits in the process.

Where’s My Tribe is due January 25th 2019 on Peacefrog Records. All songs were recorded by Charlene in her flat with no edits, no autotune, and in one take. Revealing the raw, pure beauty of the music.
