Sydney’s Body Type have shared a new video for the single Dry Grass. Directed by band members Annabel Blackman and Georgia Wilkinson-Derums, the video marks the pair’s directorial debut. Originally inspired by the greenskeeper and his roller machine at the Marrickville Bowling Club, the video follows the band through a typical day on the greens.
Bassist and vocalist Georgia Wilkinson-Derums shares, “Having wanted to collaborate on a clip for sometime, Annabel and I conceptualised a rough storyboard and went about finding a brilliant cast and crew to help us experiment with our Body Type directorial debut. We were fortunate enough to get the exceptionally talented William Zappa (Mad Max, Rake, Dead Europe) to play our wild-eyed protagonist, Lindy Morrison (The Go-Betweens) who acted out a very special cameo, and Debbie Tennant, who emerges as our honorary fifth member of the band. All of our love and thanks goes to Jack Saltmiras, Olivia Simpson, Amelia Fell and Rikki Clark for bringing it together.”
After releasing their debut self-titled EP out on Partisan Records/Inertia Music, Body Type also played their debut run of sold out headline dates. Together with support slots for Alex Cameron and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. 2019 will see Body Type will make their overseas live debut including four dates in New York, an appearance at SXSW Festival and one date in L.A.
